Join Chesapeake Sport Pilot as we kick off the summer flying season with a full day of fun. CSP’s flight school and maintenance shop will be open for tours and instructors will be on hand to answer questions.

From 8am-9am we invite you to sample some of Kim Allen’s world famous blue berry pancakes at a traditional airport pancake breakfast. A $5 donation is suggested to offset the cost of supplies.

At 9am CSP will be sponsoring a free “rusty pilot refresher” class for pilots who have been out of the cockpit for a while. This three hour seminar counts as credit towards completion of a flight review as well as Wings credit.

At noon we will be firing up the grill for an old fashion airport BBQ. Everyone is invited.  A $5 donation is suggested to offset the cost of supplies.

From 1:30-3:30pm local pilots will be offering free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17. Preregistration is strongly encouraged (410-604-1717) and a permission slip (please complete both front and back) must be signed before the flight by a parent or legal guardian. Flights are weather dependent and first-come-first-served.

COVID safety precautions are in effect. The seminar will be held in the hangar and we will have the hangar door open for maximum ventilation. Masks are required inside the flight school classrooms and halls.  All volunteer cooks, registration volunteers, and volunteer pilots will be fully vaccinated. We encourage you to be vaccinated as well. Pilots and the kids flying with them must wear masks while in the cockpit.
